If I Were In The Game of Thrones (Spoilers)
Sometimes I feel like I would do SO well in Game of Thrones. I've been in high school, so I know who are my allies and who are the people who want to slit my throat. Although I don't think I would be trying to get the Iron Throne.
First of all, that "throne" looks extremely uncomfortable. Westeros doesn't really have an IKEA so I doubt I can get comfortable seating. I would totally have my picture taken at the Iron Throne all the time though. I'd be like:
"Oh hey, just chillin' in the kingdom. Just got some guy beheaded for treason. Lol #blessed"
You know what I would actually do? I think I would design armor. Armor that protects your neck. There is a whole market for people who do not want their throats slit. That's like 80% of the deaths in GoT.
Since I'm already deep in this scenario, I would also like to have my iPhone so I could answer people's questions. 4G coverage shouldn't be a problem if they can pull of dragons and shadow magic.
And I could take a pic of the white walkers and be like, "Hey ya'll, Jon Snow was right and ya'll ain't do nothing but fight for some hyped up chair."
But in a more in-depth note, Game of Thrones is on point because of the characters in the show. They have fatal flaws, and also redeeming traits. There isn't really a black-and-white when it comes to the show. While there are nice characters and REAL baddies, both lose in different scenarios.
Daenerys aims to break the chains of all slaves, but she will definitely ice a lot of people that gets in her road to what she thinks is right. Jon Snow pulled a nice guy and saved the Wildlings from those White Walkers. But that lead to the betrayal of the Night's Watch and him receiving a lot of stabs from his men.
Cersei is a total See You Next Tuesday, but you still feel bad for her when she's doing that penance walk. Yeah, she did get queen Margaery thrown in jail and was a part of Ned Stark's death. But you gotta feel a tinge bad for her while poop and penises are flying at her.
So if I were in the Game of Thrones, I would like to think I would be like someone in Ayn Rand's nightmares: an altruistic person who seeks do what's right. But the temptation of the uncomfortable Throne may or may not lead me to chop off some heads. I like to think it wouldn't.
